"Another spot you will find more locals than tourists. The oyster man is back 7 days a week instead of only Mondays. And oysters you can get !!! 12 oysters for under $20- where else can you get that. The beer selection is vast big local section, IPA, Sours, etc) and they also feature live jazz most nights. The staff is jot just friendly but funny. Indoor and outdoor seating."

"At the end of a cute park, you can grab a quick bite and a coffee. The iced NOLA was not too sweet and can taste the chicory. They were able to accommodate oat milk request. I also got a burrito with home made hot sauce. The size was manageable and not too big. The hot sauce was not the burn off your tongue hot. More peppery and light kick. The space has dark wood with plenty of seating. I think I may stay a while."

"I visit this place every time I’m in New Orleans. This is, to me, the epitome of a dive bar. I enjoy the beer selection and the food as well (reading the other reviews it seems they don’t serve food anymore though). I’m headed to NoLa next week and I can’t wait to go to Markeys and have a Pimms cup."

"Great atmosphere, fun people, billiard table, board games, great food and some of the best mixed drinks in town! Come for drinks, stay for people and have a great night! Tell them, Matt sent you for a 0% discount, but maybe only an enthusiastic high five, but also maybe just a confused look."

"Very friendly people; the bartender was very attentive and helpful, probably the best bartender I met in New Orleans. He even remembered my name when I went back two days later AND he had found my missing earring and held onto it for me!!"

"Boudin scotch eggs were hands down the best I’ve had in the city. Can’t recommend those enough. I typically stick to draft beer (which they have a huge selection of), but I had to try a craft cocktail after checking out their menu. I got the “paper and salt,” and it was awesome. We also had the duck sandwich, which was excellent! It’s crazy how they captured the authenticity of a library upstairs. The bartenders were super knowledgeable and accommodating to our entire group. We spent most of the night shooting pool and singing the “oldies but goodies” they had playing. I think we will find ourselves being regulars here."
