"We went because it's the only place we could find that sells crawfish out of season. It's run down and in a sketchy part of town. There's no seating, and it feels cluttered. If you just want fast seafood, and you're willing to stop in for a minute to get it, the atmosphere doesn't matter that much. The crawfish were delicious, as were the potatoes."

"This place is an establishment. Excellent seafood options, busy and packed with locals, quick efficient line, and tons of other food options as well! Great prices Personally got crawfish, sautéed crab, Dungeness crab and corn, so so good and a great place to get Cajun seafood in Louisiana"

"Gumbo is OK a bit on the sweet side for my mom's taste, the fried fish is really good well seasoned not too salty and so is the fried shrimp with it as a po boy, the boudin tasted bland and too mushy.. but the red beans and rice was pretty decent"

"I LOVE THIS PLACE. I discovered this little buffet about 2yrs ago. Food in N.O. that's good, hot, fast, and cheap, has been almost non-existent since Katrina. Gone are the Austin Leslie's and the lady down the street at the corner store, so Cajun King fills that gap. You get a little chianese which a box now alone is 7.50 and some of the BEST fried chicken in town... in fact that's the first thing I go for. There is something for everyone. If you are truly hood and like boiled turkey necks then they have that, if you want a little gumbo... not your momma's but a taste to keep ya going till the cold weather holidays, then a little bowl won't hurt you. The red beans are like popeyes, and I always get me a salad which overfills me especially when I put the house tartar sauce on for dressing. The fried fish is also one of my favs... so for the price which I am thankful is in my unemployed range, I can eat like a queen and not be so guilty about it.. HATERS leave this place alone if you gotta find something wrong.!"
