"This is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to! What’s great about it is not only are they vegetarian friendly–they’re as authentic as the ones in India. You can really taste the individual flavor of the ingredients. Kudos to their talented chef! It’s great that they import almost all their ingredients or create them in-house to make sure there’s no compromise in the taste. More so, I love its elegant interior and hospitable ambience. It’s a perfect place to have a taste of India with your family and friends!"

"Lunched with a friend today here. Best choice ever! Lovely staff and excellent traditional Indian food. Indian beer Kingfisher was good too! Great outlook and outdoor tables with harbour views. Will return to sample more of the menu!"

"Consistently good, fast, convenient Indian joint on Darby Street, Newcastle. This place is a bit of a relic on Darby Street with many a poor uni student (ahh memories) ordering sauce on rice to make it through the student week. Ate here the other night and it was consistently good. My cheese naan was very oily this time which would be my only small criticism but it kind of goes with the territory. This place is excellent value for money to and I'd definitely recommend it to all!"

"The food and the service were average. we were a party of 7 and ordered 4 entrees 5 netzen. one of the entrees (onion pakora) was cooked and we sent it back to the kitchen to be replaced. when we asked for it, the waitress lied to us that the court is in order, and will not be replaced because we would have consumed the majority of it, as if we had realized that it was only cooked by the look, then we said that we would not pay for it unless they replace it, log it again and said that they ran out of the battery to make it. at this time we were really disappointed and told her that we will not pay for a product that was unusable under standard and round. she went back with her cock between her two and brought us fresh paprika. the main thing was disappointing butter huhn was sweet and the fish in fish amritsari died in vain. the Kadhai chicken was acceptable, and so was Soy Chaap. the only good court was Gauner. In summary, the bad price-performance ratio and the low taste profile will not come back, especially according to the way we and the situation (mis) were managed."

"The food is nice, but that's where the experience ends.As they don't accept eftpos, I can see no reason they should not split bills. They do not have several eftpos transactions to pay for, and they use pen and paper for taking orders. No computer systems needed. When paying, however, we were asked to pay all in one transaction. The woman at the counter said this is because other restaurants don't split bills (yet they accept eftpos). I was asked, in a belligerent manner, if I would have paid for the entire group if they DID have eftpos.Eventually, very reluctantly, she allowed us to pay separately, but as this was a needlessly embarrassing encounter, I will not be back... Even though their food is good. There are plenty of other options for delicious Italian food in Newcastle suburbs to have to endure such poor service here again."
