"This non-descript little bakery is located in the main tourist area in Nice, amongst the McDonalds and patisserie chains. It offers a big selection of sandwiches, viennoiseries and slices, displayed proudly behind the glass cabinet. This, and the aroma of fresh coffee drew us in on our first morning in Nice, and we loved it so much we returned every day after that. Highlights include the pan bagnat, Nice's specialty sandwich consisting of a salad nicoise (tuna, boiled eggs, raw vegetables) in a crusty bread roll. I also loved the selection of sweet pastries, especially the donuts (or beignets), which were soft, fluffy and filled to the brim with chocolate, custard or cream - absolute perfection.I would definitely recommend this bakery over any of the other breakfast options in the vicinity - it's affordable, delicious and has great coffee!"
