"Overall, I had a very poor experience. I struggled to receive timely communication for a quote. I had to follow up more than once to receive pricing for my event.As we got closer to the date of the event, I reached out to confirm the menu, the final guest count and ask what the expected time of arrival would be. I felt that this should have been initiated by the caterer. I was informed she would arrive no later than 2pm. I expressed my concern because I didn 't know if that meant 10am, 12pm, etc. Also, my event did not start until 5pm. The caterer was aware that the event space did not have a full kitchen and only warmers. My concern was that the food would not be hot.Roxanne shared that she had another event the same day and said, I can give you a full refund . Mind you, this was a holiday family dinner and this was days before the event. The likelihood of me finding another caterer on short notice was impossible.She was able to push the drop off time to about 3pm. I gave her a call after 3pm to see what her ETA was. She never called to say she was running behind or apologized of her tardiness.Upon setup, she left the exact number of plates and cutlery for my guest count. I asked if there were any extra since guests would likely get seconds, children may drop their plasticware on the floor, plastic easily breaks, etc. She stated they don 't provide an excess of supplies. She left a few extra forks behind. I went to a near by big lots to purchase extra cups, napkins, cutlery, and plates. I also purchased punch with my food package. I was informed she broke the pitcher upon mixing and didn 't have a back up. She offered us cans of soda instead. I stated many of the guests and children do not drink soda and would like the punch as planned. Fortunately, the venue had some extra pitchers we were able to use.She also provided only 1 sterno for the food pans. This would have left only have the pan of food to be hot. Luckily the venue had extra sterno 's they allowed us to use.I was also displeased that the hot sauce was displayed in a rectangular container with a plastic spoon. This looked extremely unprofessional. Also, the fried chicken appeared to be fried in old grease.Despite the negative experience leading up to the event, the food tasted great outside of the fried chicken. However, it wasn 't worth the poor attitude and lack of communication."
