"I should stress at the outset that this review and rating is as a pub only and not a reflection of the food as we didn’t eat there.The bar is like many bars in Australian hotels - pretty basic with high stools, gaming machines etc. and not designed to be able to sit in comfort for a quiet chat and drink. The main bar and restaurant is brightly lit and lined with plastic tables and chairs not unlike a club. It looked a bit like a McDonalds with a carpet and bar.They had a good and reasonably priced menu, and it was well patronised by local people eating, but because it lacked any restaurant atmosphere we only had a drink before moving along to somewhere more atmospheric to eat."

"I had lunch here today on what has to be Portland’s worst weather day in history. Hail piled up at the door while I was eating. I had the lamb and rosemary pie and it was way up there as one of the best pies...I have ever eaten. My follow-up coffee was excellent as well and I enjoyed a tasty apricot topped slice. The ladies serving were pleasant and helpful. For me, it was a perfect light lunch experience."

"The staff is very friendly and helpful. Coffee and hot chocolate are so much better than some of the cafés in Melbourne. The dishes are also great in the menu. While waiting for your food, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the pier. I would say good prices, good food and good customer services."

"Very happy to recommend the steak sandwich and chicken burger, which are much more interesting than the name suggests. Friendly, helpful staff and smooth hot chocolate to complete a lovely meal. Also an fascinating view of wharf activities across the harbour"

"Recently visited this food outlet on a number of occasions during my holiday was very good and polite service, the last time i visited it was cash only and we along with others were stuck in the drive through due to no signage before entering...warning customers of the situation. A bit of time wasting happened..."
