"Lovely bar.....new owners who are very welcoming. The food is good, and the wine too at just 3 euros for the house wine. Raised deck area outside great to watch the sunset...very nice cocktails too. Well worth a try....lovely people just starting out in Quarteira."

"Shisha was poor and it was preimum, had no flavour, the place act really posh and as if their a 5* but they are stingy with the shisha flavour, dont change yur coal and probably a drop of tabacco. The security guard was rude and arrogant. Unorganised, we booked a table 3 hours in advance which they confrimed on the phone, we arrive and they can't find our names, then 3 of the staff argued in portugese over it and we were just stood there awkwardly. Finaly they let us in but we felt unwanted, service is very late even for a drink which was average. The DJ was appaling. The place was empty maybe 4 tables were full with loads available ye5 every time someone entered without a booking they made a big fuss acting like their fully booked. It seemed like they were just being lazy and arrogant. The only pro was the view but everything else overrated and overpriced."

"Great tasting, authentic Portuguese cuisine! We had fish and squid right off the grill! The atmosphere was lively and the food was cheap for what you would be charged elsewhere. The servers were hard working and very accommodating. However, it was packed when we arrived and had to wait in a queue before getting a table but overall a nice place."

"Lovely coffee shop just off the new promenade in Quarteira. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The place is spotlessly clean. Great selection of cakes. Eventually chose a local cake, carricos, an almond type of meringue. Delicious. Also serve alcoholic drinks. Great tea and coffee. Definitely worth a visit."

"The Ancora (Anchor) is a newly opened restaurant right on the front, close to the pedestrianised area in Quarteira it is immediately across the road from the beech and has good sea views. The Anglo-Portugese team that run the restaurant are very friendly and efficient, but more importantly keep the place spotlessly clean and it's open kitchen is a pleasing feature.When we went for a late lunch yesterday we enjoyed great seafood Kebabs with salad, but other lighter options are also available. The fish appears to be super fresh and is good value. We did not eat any of their beef dishes but these look interesting as well. We will be returning during our stay in the Algarve!"

"WE LOVED BAZ & MINNIES! This lovely Irish bar became our regular on our trip to portugal. It's friendly, fun, welcoming & they make the best sex on the beach cocktails! The bar tenders talk to you like you've been friends for years and make you feel right at home. I really miss going here and have the holiday blues! It was also only 5 minutes from our hotel, Dom Jose. I'd really recommend going to Baz & Minnies as you'll have the best night! They also do a great karaoke evening. I shall definitely be coming back here!"

"Wonderful from beginning to end, friendly, nice atmosphere and fantastic food. French touch indeed which gave the food the little extra. The garden to sit is very inviting and charming. Definitely recommended!"
