"Friendly locals pub, bustling with a very bubbly atmosphere in a village that many pubs haven't survived which speaks volumes about how the management and staff are running this welcoming pub. Live music and Karaoke monthly, events not to be missed. Great selection of drinks...especially Gin."

"We ended up at the Olde George (restaurant section) after finding the pub we were recommended was closed. We figured, since they were so close, they would be on a similar par. Walking in, it felt like we were intruding on the locals (and what appears to be staff) smoking and drinking at the bar. Long story short, we ordered two burgers, my colleague 's one arrived with a long hair entangled in the fried onion ring. We cringed, but as we were so hungry, discarded the offending onion ring (and all the onion rings) and tried to enjoy the remainder of the meal. Within a few seconds, I opened up my burger and was treated to a large tangled hair embedded within the melted cheese, with lots of bits stuck all over it. Scrumptious. Upon returning it to the bar the lady behind the bar expressed her horror, and took it over to the what i would assume was a manager, who simply said, oh, a hair …. like it was a normal occurrence. A Refund for the burger only was offered and a weak apology which lacked sincerity. A minute later, 2 men from the bar and what we perceived to be the manager, came and sat outside near us, jokingly looking into their pint glasses for hairs and making a joke of the whole thing. I was not only utterly disgusted by the food, but the service was not much better. Avoid at all costs. Britians worst restaurant? Certainly in my books!"

"Fabulous location, lovely ambiance, yummy food but really annoyingly poor service attitude especially the female staff. A little smile and attentiveness wont hurt. The loveliest service attitude is the staff with long hair, headband and wearing the stylish suspenders. Thank you for your cheerful demeanor and taking my cappuccino order."

"I’ve drank and eaten at many places over the years and the punch bowl is in my top ten . The Stella is always bubbling nice and cold in a new glass and the food is amazing. We work up the road so really lucky to have this place on our doorstep. The family who run it are lovely people , always smiling. Definitely recommend visiting, you won’t be disappointed ."

"Beautiful frying dinner .was a little disappointed, extra for pigs in can be loaded.and was served only! waitresses were very attentive and friendly a bit loud on our visit, as between two families being sat with young children.not the end of the world, but our conversation disturbed speedy service overall I would visit again for Sunday afternoon"
