"Foods great, but there 's a huge issue with getting fried onions added to a sandwich correctly. You 'd imagine when you say fried onions and they respond okay, fried onions that there 's no misunderstanding in the communication. For some reason, I either get none, or fresh onions. It 's whatever though, minimum wage service."

"Osprey has a beautiful patio overlooking the river, and the Ruby River Hotel is a lovely place to stay. Nice menu at the hotel. I ordered a favourite I'd had in the past, the tomatoes with burrata appetizer, with red pesto. Grilled bread, pesto, and burrata were great, but this time the dish was served with unripe green tomatoes. Not a green tomato variety that was ripe, but crisp, unripened tomatoes. During a season when all manner of tomatoes are in season and ripe. I asked the server about them as after trying one I was dissatisfied. She came back to inform me the kitchen only had green and yellow tomatoes. During harvest time? How strange. So my favourite dish was disappointing overall. A fail on those green tomatoes you got delivered and had to use. In a dish where the tomatoes are one of the starring ingredients, don't do that."

"The food here can be a bit pricey at times, but you certainly get your money's worth. Most plates have very large portions, and the drinks here are astounding. The kitchen staff does a an excellent job of ensuring the food comes quickly, presented in a very authentic manner. Only reason that the restaurant does not receive full marks is that there tables and chairs are slightly dated, although I personally feel that this adds to the character of the place."

"Luigi's is an unbelievable Italian restaurant; it's not even at the corner. The entrance is inconvenient; friendly level. The decor is not pretentious. So, what's the big deal?! The food and service was TRADITIONAL; anticipation was unexpected; still this dinner was wonderful. Part of the evening success was my waiter, Elijah; I was confused because I had expected to simply order a simple spaghetti'n meatballs dinner with delicious sauce, meatballs and noodles. I had forgotten that this is a real Italian food with a variety of genuine Italian options. Options that have confused me now. Elijah was able to describe each of my various preliminary decisions in detail not only of ingredients, but character and taking into account my answers. He has catalogued my feedback and made some suggestions. Before this consultation, I would have opted for a simple pasta or lasagna or scampi. I ordered the Sardinia Old Fashioned Spaghetti; fabulous choice! Bacon, onions, garlic and wine sautes with ground pork and left sausage, shimmered in marinara sauce. When served, the first thing that meets you, the wonderful bouquet is not only winey, but much more with all the ingredients that were mentioned earlier. What a knock! Then I noticed that the spaghetti noodles were tasty and perfectly cooked in their own right; you know how rarely THAT noodles are required with this much authenticity (boiled and PROPERLY cooked. (You can cook many dinners with less noodles and never understand why the wonderful sauce does not shine. Bottom line this is an old-fashioned, unpretentious, family-style Italian restaurant. Unforeseen means, do not need to slick... I read some of the less luminous reviews; for those who come here to reconfigure this gem... eat your heart."

"This was great! Really good food and great service. Salmon salad was really good, great mimosa dressing and the fruit was nice; I do think the salmon could have been a little flakier but it was so good. We had stuffed mushrooms ,they were great. Definitely recommend to try. Lemon drop was good and the Pink Lady I heard was good."

"What a lovely birthday gift from a family member who knows how much I appreciate fine cuisine. My husband and I went to an early dinner and the lunch crowd had left which is why the place was empty. I added mushrooms to my fettuccine. And because it was my birthday I was given a wonderful dessert so we boxed up our left overs for later. The waitress Desiree was a highlight for us also. She made suggestions and we went with them. We will most definitely be back."

"Was at The Grand and wanted to see the restaurant hanging in the hotel. The food was great, the drinks were not bad (our waitress said the bartender was new and you could say how long it took to get our drinks) and the service was good, but sometimes slow. Signs to meet and wait in front of the restaurant to sit. That was kind of unpleasant because we waited almost 5-10 minutes without being welcomed by a host. Finally, it was a server that sat and took our order. The restaurant was quite empty for us, not seen or make it seem like the staff was too busy. Overall not bad, but would have had a bit more attention"
