"Went to The Didsbury for my partners birthday as it's our fave restaurant and the service was exceptional! Our waiter Liam was attentive to our table, knowledgeable about all the food giving us great recommendations, and always checked back to see how we were doing/...if we needed anything. As someone who use to assistant manage a restaurant, I was extremely impressed! We look forward to coming back asap!"

"We have eaten here at many places and have never been disappointed. eating is excellent and the personal is great so it is a friendly atmosphere, also to busy times. there is a wide menu and always a selection of specificities that add additional variety to their choice. a cordial greeting is extended to children, so whether they are partying with family friends or just treating themselves to home, not cooking, we would recommend that they give the jolly sailor an attempt, their first visit will not be their last."

"This pub is such a firm favourite in Didsbury. We live locally and often eat in here and the food is consistently a very high standard and tastes delicious. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is perfect, especially around Christmas time...as the pub is decorated top to bottom with the most gorgeous decorations throughout. The staff are all friendly and go over and above. We also recently held our Christmas party here and everybody agreed the food and service for a large group (27) was top notch!"

"A pleasant culinary experience! I myself, my fiancated and our dog recently visited to order a frying dinner, then to share a brownie dessert. eating was all well cooked until perfection, full of taste and very warming. the workers were charming, atmosphere rustic and cozy. our dog has definitely appreciated her pig-in-Blints! we don't live in front of location, but if we did, this wonderful pub would have won three new and very happy masters!"

"We arrived on a Sunday evening and it was busy. The waiter went out the way to make a table for us both, he was very jolly and welcoming. The bar staff were very polite. The carvery was lovely, everything was fresh and hot. Prices are also very reasonable. Would come back again."
