"After an admittedly lovely search all over Dinan for a place to eat that was not a crêperie on a Monday night in October, we saw that L'Ami Louis was in fact open, despite TripAdvisor indicating that it would be closed (not TripAdvisor's fault. The guys at the restaurant have lost their code, so can't change the open days on the listing-FYI it is closed Tuesday and Wednesday). Were we ever in luck! Fantastic food-both meat and fish cooked over the grill under the "chimney", fantastic service, fantastic wine all at a, well..., fantastic price. After dinner, the walk back up the hill was much needed!"

"Bel emplacement bien que très passant.. Nous y étions pour un sandwich a la base et boite un verre sur les coups de 13h en semaine.. Et bien qu'elle surprise j'ai vu qu'il y avait pas mal de choses différentes du coup j'ai opté pour une omelette salade salade frite a 6€ monsieur lui un complet poulet mamy un complet thon et mon fils un saucisson ... Pour les sandwichs mise a part le manque de cornichon avec le saucisson et le pain dur pour les 3 ainsi que le thon non mélangé à la Mayo ce qui le rendait encore plus sec il n y a pas eu grand chose à en dire par contre l'omelette.. Il y avait de la coquille dedans elle était trop cuite et en plus elle était toute noire comme si on l'avait faite dans une poêle sale.. Ca donnait pas envie d'ailleurs je ne l'a pas mangé... La sauce salade était étrange niveau goût.. Et le bar en lui même laissé à désirer hygiéniquement .. Toilettes sales... Cuisine minuscule a l étage ... Serveur qui fume pendant son service au milieu des tables de la terrasse ... Les verres qui on connus la guerre vu leur etat... Je crois que tout est di..."

"We have here on the way to the sea (we are from Belgium). it didn't expect to stop there, but this interesting place on our way saw and it looked unique and that was it! a hidden gem! the food was delicious and the staff was easy...working friendly, funny, caring. we came with a baby (only under 2 years,) they made us very comfortable! the zider is organic (we pay attention to this type of dingen,) also the toilet paper is a recycled. I advise this place very much for all the reasons listed above! we just loved it!"

"Always eat here when in Taden and spend time in the friendly bar. Manu, the proprietor is friendly and welcoming (shame dogs aren’t allowed in the bar area). The restaurant is very good and we usually go for the set menu. On this trip we...enjoyed pate de campagne and melon surprise starters. The fish and chicken mains are good but feel the fish needs to be served with more sauce as the rice is quite dry. Chocolate fondant and framboiserie are good. Service is always friendly and efficient. There is an outside terrace overlooking the car park."

"A restaurant without pretention, a welcoming patron (I have done my hard work on the table, on the menu). The ham cheese cake is not the best I ate, but the little rose was very tasteful and I had a nice surprise at dessert: a pear pie with excellent home!"
