"Everything we ordered was perfect. The Mantou Buns were the highlight. Restaurant was not excessively loud but I prefer a slightly quieter noise level. Might have had more to do with the group beside us. Totally recommend and I will be back for sure."

"This restaurant is Indian fusion of Chinese cuisine. The owners are Chinese and grew up in India; and brought heat into their cuisine. The service and environment is nice and pleasant. <br/ <br/ I came with a friend and we ordered: hot and spicy fried squid, Mongolian beef and house chow mein. The squid was fabulous not too heavily battered and definitely had a kick. The Mongolian beef was not too spicy. It was mixed with peppers and onions for a semi sweet flavour. However, the only problem with this dish is I found it a tad salty, and the beef could have been tenderized a little more. The house chow mein was tasty. It wasn’t overflowing with sauce as some other restaurants do. It had both shrimp and chicken, however I recall our server saying it came with lots of veggies... but the only veggies I saw was chives. <br/ <br/ I will definitely try this place again. However I may choose more veggies dishes that actually contain veggies. If you want to try good Chinese food with a spicy kick this place is for you."

"Decent food with generous portions. The Ginger Beef wasn't dry or stringy, but actually came with tender slices of beef. Sauce was quite sweet but perfect when drizzled with some Szechuan chili oil I had at home.The BBQ pork was quite tender as well.I love that they gave me a whole bag of shrimp chips.I'll definitely order again if I'm craving westernized Chinese food."

"So I haven’t been here in ages so I thought I’d come here instead of my usual. I got here relatively early so we got a seat quickly. I was pleasantly surprised by the old school dim sum carts and was able to order many...of my favourite dishes immediately. We went on a dumpling bonanza ordering shrimp, pork, scallop, spinach and yam. They were all good but it was just lacking a bit of juiciness. We has their steam beef balls which was quite tasty. Also had their spareribs in black bean sauce which was surprisingly good. I had ordered their beef rice rolls (my absolute fave) and it came out at the very end. IT was good but I’ve had better. All in all, a good dim sum experience with a nice dose of nostalgia. It will do in a fix but there are others that do it better."

"Went with our extended family for lunch (we had booked) and found it very busy. The serving staff were not very pleasant and although they served up the food, they did not appear very happy or engage with guests. Some of the food was okay and expensive for what we got. There was five in our party and they only served four spring rolls. Would not return."

"At the western end of kerrisdale opposite the venerable minerva is this small old school Chinese restaurant from the won tonne suppe thru several hot dishes we were not disappointed friendly service hot and fresh give it a try!"

"WARNING!!! Ok I want to report this restaurant and it’s poor service and it was only two of us dining here. And they automatically charged us an 18% tip which I really feel is wrong. If you’ve had this happen, I would report them to bbb and revenue Canada because I doubt they are paying for tax on this plus if you pay by card the tip is calculated on the gross which means their gross plus tip plus tax . Check for this. Consumers need to fight back against this dependency on tips for profit or when they don’t deserve a tip but hold you hostage. This also happened to another couple friend of mine and when we got together and talked about it we found out it was the same place everyone was complaining about this. So be warned and report them to revenue Canada and tell everyone that they are doing this practice for what seems like for all customers. Especially tourists. #touristtrap #chargingtip18% #badservice"

"Easy to find the location, ambience is well done and very clean. Waiters and chefs are very entertaining and friendly. If you missed the summer fireworks or you have a birthday to organize, this is the spot. Fire fire everywhere and people catching flying prawns with their mouth like a circus. The chicken and beef dish was my personal favorite. The broth that comes with it is amazing too. The chicken was alright as I felt it had too much of the sauce and was overpowering the flavor. The beef and the sides were amazing. The veg options were quite nice too which my veg(he's not a vegetable just vegetarian) friend enjoyed. The prawns were amazing too. It's a bit expensive but that's worth it with it's good service and food."

"Top notch Chinese food.<br/ <br/ Excellent variety of lunch specials that can include a main of choice with soup and rice. <br/ <br/ The ever so popular Spicy green beans lived up to expectations, the green bean itself is crunchy coated in an oily glaze with a burst of onion/garlic flavour. It’s sweet savoury all in one.<br/ <br/ The pork fried rice was fragrant comes in a big serve! The right amount of saltiness that wok fried flavour round this dish out to be delicious. <br/ <br/ The corn soup was a nice warm starter, very wholesome cooked strands of egg whites with pieces of corn small amount of chicken. Wish it had more chicken in it. <br/ <br/ The ‘juicy pork dumplings’ as they call it is delicious. Dumpling bursting with pork soup pork mince filling. The accompanying vinegar brings the classic to life! <br/ <br/ The servers are all very lovely. Bringing tea to your table after you take your seat. <br/ <br/ My recommendation- check out the affordable lunch time specials!"
