"Our beautiful local. great, well-maintained beer and delicious food. some people may think that there is not the greatest choice on the menu, but, for me, eating the better for it (the less dinge is a good motto.) it is always a good quality and there are daily specialties to purify the changes."

"We had a really good family meal with excellent food, very good service and they coped with a toddler in a high chair perfectly. Starters were very good including the brie, pate and beetroot hummus. Mains went down well including fish and chips, fish stew and the vegetable parcels. One to visit again."

"Myself and a group of friends recently came here for a few drinks on a Sunday evening, I've never written a review on here before but thought it was only right I did so this time. The evening in general was very enjoyable, especially the food. However the service was rather negative, I believe the server who was waiting on us was the manager, and unfortunately the service he provided us with wasn’t a great experience. I work in retail so I know providing positive customer service at all times isn’t always possible especially when busy. However, he was quite rude in the way he shot down my friend when she offered help with drinks, saying ‘don’t do that’ instead of politely just asking when all she was doing was offering help when it was clear he was struggling. He also walked away when we were mid ordering our food. I think we were just a bit disappointed in the way he spoke to us, obviously we understand that due to Covid there’s certain rules to follow when serving however I don’t think it was right to have spoken to a customer in that way."

"We have visited the venue on six occasions and every time the meals have been excellent. Friendly staff and atmosphere and a great place to take friends for in informal meal or drink. We came from Walton and have found this to be the best nearby eatery."

"Following a local walk had booked lunch at this pub. Staff were really helpful with a very welcoming atmosphere. Special Jubilee menu which was a bonus. Food was excellent. Freshly cooked, hot and flavoursome. Limited hours of opening on some days."
