"We had the 50th birthday of my wife in the Talbot yesterday. I've been doing so a few events for years, and I have to say this place is amazing. best staff, so friendly, so helpful, professional, and made the whole (for about 25 people), a wonderful day to remember. that also eat, really good quality, and no one was waited. only so grateful for her team for everything."

".. but Tripadvisor don't allow that rating. Anyhow, I had the fish stew which had some well-cooked pieces of fish; had lovely prawns but also very chewy rubbery calamari rings; the sauce itself reminded us more of a few packets of passata poured on top so not recommended. My partners fish and chips were very good but nothing special."

"Never been there before wanted a drink glad I went landlord was very nice and explained the beers I went for BFG which was excellent and well kept I also had cheese and onion cob which was also very good....friendly proper pub"
