"Don’t we all love a spoons? Had a lot of good times in the north and south bank spent with friends. Very good value and the food is surprisingly nice. Sometimes the queue can be edging on the ludicrous on a Saturday night but that’s the same with everywhere. The only real downside is that it isn’t open 24/7!"

"Over rated imo, its just really overpriced pub food. Staff all over the place, we had 3 different servers at our table, all just asking if we wanted more drinks all the time when we hadn't even finished the first one. Wouldn't go again for the money. "Bit disappointed with our visit today. Lengthy wait at the bar, staff don't acknowledge you when dealing with others (which is basic customer service), seem a bit understaffed but none of the staff move with any urgency, just going through the motions. The app didn't work properly, trying to modify the meal options such as swapping crisps for chips didn't work, then it said one of the dishes was out of stock, so another lengthy wait at the bar to order food. Relieved I mentioned about the out of stock item as I was told actually they did have it in stock after all. The food arrived, the crispy chicken ciabata was very tasty, as was the BLT ciabata which my mum had, although there was a LOT of rind/fat on the meat which should have been trimmed or at least grilled until crispy which it was neither. The chips were nice enough but bordering luke warm. Room for improvement and a few standards to be reset and observed from management down to the barstaff."

"We visited a drink here after seeing a Wrexham match, and were greeted by some Danes who had flew to their sisters. we enjoyed a good talk with them and later in the night, they asked us where they can go to buy...Cigarettes after he informed them about where they can find zigarettes (if we are outside the pubs), the renter interrupted us and told them that the place we recommended will charge 15 pfund for zigarettes, which is not the case. After having politely corrected the renter, she stormed back into the pub and locked us with our stuff from the pub. After knocking on, the renter opened the door easy and asked us to stop. we told her that our things are inside and she answered that you should not argue with me.' we then managed to collect and go our things, even though we had to locate this ourselves, as the renter had brought them into lost property and was not willing to hand them over to us. they threatened to call the police and told us we were on the cctw, although we did not commit crimes. all this about a difference of opinion of the cigarette prices. I will not come back until there is a new renter."

"We visit Squire York almost every week at lunch time generally preferring the slightly quiter experience as we are both in our seventies. The food is extremely good value. Wine is sensibly priced; water provided uncomplainingly with ice and lemon as desired. Tables are clean, and chairs comfortable. Staff are courteous. We like the wide range of vegetables including potatoes three ways. Meat is excellent beef particularly tender and tasty, but all three offerings consistently good. Stuffing is tasty and yorkshire puds vary from crisp to soft ideal! We are glad that the little phase of cooking several of the veg in mustard has been dropped not every one's cup of tea but then the choice is so good that there are always plenty of alternatives. Just one small request: could you occasionally include parsnips preferably roasted? Also occasional choice of peas or sweet corn might be nice. The whole experience is highly recommended. Thanks to all the staff."

"Food was good. But asking a question regarding the £20 TripAdvisor off my next visit. Basically I was looking at the menu and menu looked nice but I thought if you could scratch and sniff curtain items on the menu that could be new or old which the customer could get a sense of the meal they were getting befour they decided to actually choose that dish. Think this could be a game changer as no one does it. Many thanks lee"

"Visited this pub a couple of months back and found it atrocious, poorly run with a uninviting atmosphere, as I’m from wrexham and I heard on the grape vine it was under new management, I thought everyone deserves a second chance, I visited again last weekend to be greeted by great door staff (with a smile) unusual, bar staff great with great personalities which is nice to see, being a publican for numerous years I know the pressures they face, I throughly enjoyed my night out with great music..will return again now, praise given to the new management and bar staff your doing a great job.."
