"To book lunch in this restaurant we were obliged to leave our credit card details online, which is not a practice that we are comfortable with. However, it was close to Christmas in the centre of York and we felt we had no option. The interior of the restaurant is well decorated and the tables are well spaced out. We took advantage of a Monday to Friday offer of three tapas for £15. All of the dishes were excellent, as was the service. The restaurants doesn’t take cash and adds a 10% service charge. We enjoyed our lunchtime and would’ve rounded the bill up to more than 10% if they had taken cash."

"This vegetarian deli-style caffe offers a range of menu items such as suppening, salads, quiche (also vegan) and snacks the food we ordered was very nice. I personally enjoyed the falafels, tabouli and the sweet potato bore. the rehearsal cake with cardamom and others that we tried at the arrival was also really nice we came to a busy time of the day, to the end of their lunch service, which means that our order was confused twice and they ran out of some things we wanted to try, but it was not too much of a problem. the staff was otherwise very friendly and regularly checked to ensure that everything went well and we enjoy our meal"

"Simply the best sandwich you can get in York. There are so many different sandwiches to choose from, and even as a meat lover, the vegetarian and vegan sandwiches are delicious. Generously sized sandwiches worth the extra few quid. Staff are always friendly, unfortunate the hear the other's reviewers poor experience, although I don't doubt it happened."
