"The food they serve here, you can't get anywhere else in Zurich. There is always something new on the menu and the dishes are consistently fresh and delicious. The chefs are very knowledgeable about the food and really put their hearts into it.The venue is also really cool being an old train carriage which makes for a great dining experience. The places feels really alive when everyone is eating together.Also a great selection of wines and beers. Even some natural wines which are hard to find round here."

"The food was very good and I will not recommend one over the other. The flavors were just right. My wife and I arrived a little early and sat outside until the table was read. Had a drink on a beautiful evening. Inside on time. We wee taken to the wine cellar and selected a wine after an easy discussion. No rush. As I said, the food was delicious. My only ping is the price. It outweighed the value which was very good. If I could give a 4 1/2 I would.I'd go back!!!!"

"My first visit at Ziegelhütte was for my birthday dinner; booked the table a week before, all nice and easy. Arrived by car, astonished by the large car parks and the lack of free spaces the day was very sunny and we do expected many other guests. Still, we got our spot, table was free and we started to order a wide selection from the rather small menu (this is a plus!! . Short word to the service; well we had a lady from switzerland which was just average friendly guessing this simply because the place was crowded; else this could not be accepted. Anyway, the food was good, my meat was okay, the one from my wife tasted too much from the charcoal grill flavor/smoker chips. The served beer is no industrial crap and the wine selection looks very solid. One more to mention; Water is paid per person (Sfr 3 , any refill is free very fair! The water is from the tab which fits us just fine no need for special bottled mineral water well done! Overall we paid Sfr. 250 four large dishes, wine, beer and deserts average for Zurich. The restaurant tries to have an alternative; healthy living type of reputation which does not work in any way possibly trying to make it right for everyone for me; you can go further when it comes to meat (knowing the up tick in pricing Verdict +Style +Outdoor Seating +Parking"

"Hi there, my family was visiting me in Zurich and I reserved a table for a Friday night. The restaurant called me during the day and asked me, if I still want this table and I said yes (which was already a bit weird). The...person on the phone said that everything is alright and that we gonna see each other this night. So me and my family arrived at 8pm at the restaurant but the waiter told us there is no free table left. He told me that they made a mistake in the reservation and that they actually reserved a table the day before. However, why did they call then to make sure that I will come by on Friday??! What made it worse is that they told me to go somewhere else and they would call me in abt 45min when theres a table free. You can tell that they didn't call back. Huge disappointment, I've never experienced something like that before. Just imagine you're family is visiting and you know that its pretty difficult to get a table on a busy Friday night w/o a reservation. We finally went to Markthalle, which I can totally recommend. Nice waiters and very nice dishes!"

"This is one of the best places to have a delicious Mezze plate with a lot of different dishes to share. I just love this place. The Food and the staff are amazing and it is so nice to sit outside in the summertime. Just go there and try it."
